On Loafer, the man always sends the first message. He has 24 hours after a match to initiate — if he doesn't, the match expires. When he does write to you, you're completely in control of what happens next. Reply, ignore, or unmatch — it's always your call.

How is financial verification handled? +
Men submit financial documents (bank statements, tax returns, or a CPA letter) through our secure upload portal. Our team reviews them manually. Documents are never shared with other members and are deleted after verification is complete.
What if a man doesn't initiate within 24 hours? +
The match expires automatically. Neither party is notified — it simply disappears. This keeps the experience clean and intentional. Men who are serious will reach out. Those who aren't won't clog up your match queue.
Can women initiate conversation? +
No. This is a core design decision. Loafer is built around the man initiating — it creates accountability and filters for men who are genuinely interested. Women can express interest by swiping right, but the first message always comes from the man.

What are the photo requirements for women? +
Three photos are required: a clear face photo, a photo without makeup, and a full-body photo. Additional photos are welcome. Photos go through a brief team review to ensure they meet guidelines before the profile goes live. This is not a scoring process — it's a verification that requirements are met.
What's the difference between the three men's tiers? +
All tiers get access to the full swipe and match experience. Level II (The Patron) adds priority placement and unlimited matches. Level III (The Principal) adds concierge matching, exclusive event access, and white-glove onboarding. Every tier badge is verified — members can trust what they see.
Can I cancel my membership? +
Yes, anytime. There are no contracts or long-term commitments. Cancel through your account settings and your membership remains active until the end of your billing period.
